Orange Glazed Fruit Bread

septrin. INGREDIENTS:

1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. skim milk
1/4 c. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. grated orange peel
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. whole wheat and bran cereal with tropical fruit
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. raisins

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan. In medium- sized bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In small bowl combine eggs, milk, honey, vanilla and orange peel. Stir into flour mixture; add butter and mix well.

Fold in cereal, walnuts, dates and raisins. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 65-70 minutes. When cool, drizzle with Orange Sugar Glaze.

ORANGE SUGAR GLAZE:

1 c. confectioners sugar
1 tbsp. orange juice
