1 loaf French bread
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese (or mixture of cheddar & Monterey Jack)
3-4 chopped green onions with tops
1 jalapeno, chopped (to taste)
1 sm. (3 1/2 oz.) can chopped black olives (use about 1/2 can or to taste)
1-2 tbsp. mayonnaise
Slice French bread lengthwise to open and make two long halves. Set aside. Grate cheese and add it to remaining ingredients. Let cheese mixture sit for at least an hour. Spread half of mixture on one half of bread, repeat for other half of bread. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 to 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until brown and crusty. Do not over bake. Slice to serve.
