Cranberry Orange Bread


2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Grated rind of 1 orange (peel on grate)
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 c. cranberries, chopped


Sift dry ingredients into bowl, add orange rind; mix. Combine orange juice, egg and salad oil. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until flour is moistened. Fold in cranberries. Spread in greased 9x5x3 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 60 to 70 minutes. Yield: 1 loaf.
