Garlic Bread Spread

INGREDIENTS:

1 loaf Italian/French bread
1 stick butter/butter
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. fines herbs (or Italian blend)
1/4 tsp. oregano
Ground pepper
1/4 c. ground Parmesan
Parsley, to color

DIRECTIONS:

Mix ingredients. Spread on split bread. Bake on top shelf at 350 degrees until butter mixture melts. Turn on broiler for a minute until it looks like you like it.

Fondue Bread

INGREDIENTS:

1 c. chopped onion
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 c. mayonnaise
1 or 2 loaves French bread

DIRECTIONS:

Mix onion, Parmesan cheese and mayonnaise. Spread generously on French bread, sliced in half lengthwise. Brown in oven to golden brown. (Use for any meal but is good served with fondue.)

Cheese Mushroom Bread

INGREDIENTS:

1 loaf French bread
1 sm. Swiss cheese (sliced)
1 1/2 jars mushrooms (sliced)
2 sticks butter
2 tbsp. minced onions
2 tbsp. poppy seeds
1/2 tsp. lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:

Slice French loaf lengthwise, stuff with mushrooms and sliced Swiss cheese. Melt butter and add to it the onions, poppy seeds and lemon juice. Pour over stuffed bread. Wrap in foil and bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
