4 ½ ts Dry yeast</p>
<p>2 c Warm water</p>
<p>2 tb Honey</p>
<p>2 c Barley flour</p>
<p>2 c Wholewheat flour</p>

<p>Directions</p>
<p>   1. Dissolve yeast in warm water &amp; place in large mixing bowl.<br />
   2. Stir in honey &amp; leave till yeast becomes foamy.<br />
   3. Combine the three flours &amp; add half to the yeast.<br />
   4. Beat with a wooden spoon for 10 minutes.<br />
   5. The consistency should be of thick mud.<br />
   6. Cover &amp; set aside to rise for 1 hour, till the dough has doubled.<br />
   7. Punch dough down &amp; carefully fold in olive oil, salt &amp; 1/2 c remaining flour.<br />
   8. Gradually fold in more flour till dough starts to come away from the sides of the bowl.<br />
   9. Place dough on a lightly floured surface &amp; knead well for 10 minutes.<br />
  10. Add more flour as necessary.<br />
  11. Place dough in a lightly oiled mixing bowl.<br />
  12. Cover &amp; leave to double.<br />
  13. Ounch dough down again &amp; shape into 2 domed round loaves.<br />
  14. Cut a cross in the centre.<br />
  15. Place on an oiled baking sheet, cover &amp; let rise till doubled, 45 to 60 minutes.<br />
  16. Bake at 350F for 50 minutes.</p>

* Ingredients:
6 c. hot water
1/2 c. oil
2/3 c. honey
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. rye flour
1/2 c. soy flour
2 T. high gluten flour
2 T. salt
3 level T. yeast
Whole wheat flour
* Directions:
Combine the first 9 ingredients and add the yeast to this mixture
as the temperature becomes warm. Add enough whole wheat flour to
make the right consistency. Knead by hand or machine and bake at
350°F for 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the oven.

<p>Ingredients:</p>
<p>1 cup sugar<br />
6 tbsp. butter<br />
2 eggs<br />
1/4 cup milk<br />
1-1/2 cups flour<br />
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder<br />
1/4 tsp.salt<br />
1 tsp. grated lemon rind, divided</p>

<p>5. Grease a 9 by 5 by 3 inch loaf pan. Turn the batter into the pan.</p>
<p>6. Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.</p>
<p>Glaze Directions:</p>
<p>1. Mix the 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice and remaining lemon rind together in a small bowl.</p>
<p>2. Pour over the hot bread before removing it from the pan. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove from the pan. Cool on a rack.</p>

<p>5. Bake for 35 minutes. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate. Pull apart and enjoy!</p>

<p>1. In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/4 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, and yeast. Set aside.<br />
2. In a small saucepan over medium-low, heat evaporated milk, water, and 1/3 cup butter to about 120 to 130 *F. Pour into yeast mixture and add in 4 3/4 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, and salt; beat for 2 minutes at medium speed with an electric mixer. Add in eggs, mashed banana, and 1 cup flour; beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Fold in pecans. Knead 8 to 10 minutes. Set in greased bowl, turning to grease the top. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch the dough down, divide in half, and shape into loaves. Place in greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.<br />
3. In a small bowl combine together 4 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.<br />
4. Brush the loaves with 2 tablespoons melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture on top.<br />
5. Bake in a 375*F oven for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool on wire racks.</p>
