Bread Pudding
INGREDIENTS:
2 c. milk, scalded
1 c. dry bread crumbs
1/2 c. seedless raisins, if desired
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. flavoring
Nutmeg
DIRECTIONS:
Pour scalded milk over crumbs and set aside until cool. Add seedless raisins, if desired. Add the other ingredients and bake at 350 degrees in a buttered pudding dish for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the pudding will come out clean. Serve with whipped cream topping.
