Holiday Fruit Bread

INGREDIENTS:

1 (8 oz.) soft cream cheese
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1 c. candied dried fruit
1/2 c. chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS:

Thoroughly blend cream cheese, butter, sugar, vanilla. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each. Gradually add 2 cups of flour sifted with baking powder.
Combine 1/4 cup flour with the fruit and nuts. Fold into batter.

Grease a 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan. Bake 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes or until it tests done.

Dry fruits you can use - pineapple, apricots, prunes or dates. You may use 1 1/2 cups if you like more fruit.
