INGREDIENTS:
6 slices white bread or 3 - 4 rolls, broken or cut into 1 inch pieces
3 eggs
2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped apple, peaches or desired fruit
DIRECTIONS:
Layer bread in greased casserole with fruit and raisins. Beat together eggs, milk sugar, and vanilla for custard. Pour custard over bread and fruit layers - to cover evenly, then remaining custard to fill casserole. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture, lightly. Bake in pan with water about 40 minutes at 350 degrees until browned and tests clean on knife when inserted in middle of dish.
