INGREDIENTS:
2 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups flour
15 ounces pumpkin puree
4 eggs — beaten
3/4 cup oil
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup chopped walnuts — optional
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 325F degrees. Grease and flour two 9×5 loaf pans, or just line them with waxed/parchment paper.
Sift together dry ingredients into large bowl. Stir in pumpkin puree. In another bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour into sifted mixture. Stir all together with wooden spoon. Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 1 1/4 hours.
This recipe for Pumpkin Bread serves/makes 2 loaves.
