INGREDIENTS:
1 loaf good French bread (3-Girls Bakery-Pike Place Market)
4-5 lg. whole heads garlic, roasted
A mix of Parmesan/Romano cheese (DeLaurenti’s-Pike Place Market)
Olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
Place whole heads of garlic on a small roasting pan and drizzle with olive oil. Bake in a low to moderate oven for 30-45 minutes. Do not overbake.
Slice the French bread and rub with olive oil. Bake in a slow oven for approximately 1/2 hour or until crusty. (Slice bread 1 inch thick.)
The heads of garlic will slip out of their skins easily after being baked. Rub them on the slices of bread and eat or additionally sprinkle with Parmesan/Romano blend of cheese and broil until lightly brown
