Bread Pudding

INGREDIENTS:

1 qt. milk
2 c. bread, cubed, just fill casserole to leave enough room for milk, etc.
1/2 c. sugar, add a little more if desired
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 beaten eggs

DIRECTIONS:

Grease dish with butter and put in bread and rest of ingredients except milk. Scald milk and pour over bread mix and stir well. Put in oven, set in a pan of water, at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until firm in center.

When the pudding has partially set, stir well so the raisins will be all through the pudding, then sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. Put back in oven for about 15 minutes more. Serve warm or cold with milk or cream.
