Aunt Evelyn’s Banana Nut Bread

INGREDIENTS:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. soda in 1 tbsp. sour milk
2 beaten eggs
3 med. ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 c. ground nut meats
2 c. flour

DIRECTIONS:

Mix together in order given, stirring enough only to blend. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Can be tested for doneness by touching with finger, it if springs back - it is done.
